Our president and founder
PEMC is led by founder Emily Basca, a skilled medical moderator and an experienced operations and marketing executive in the healthcare industry.
Her career developed around her passion for educating groups of healthcare professionals about treatments and medical developments, and facilitating national and global meetings and advisory boards.
Emily received a Master of Science in Gerontology from the University of Southern California after earning a Bachelor of Science in Gerontology from St. John Fisher College in Rochester, N.Y.
Prior to establishing PEMC, Emily was the vice president of operations and client services for a triple accredited medical education company in Philadelphia.
She is an active member of the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association (HBA) and served as Co-Director of Programs on the Board of the Greater Philadelphia Chapter for two years. She is currently a mentor as part of the Greater Philadelphia HBA Mentorship program.

PEMC is located just outside Philadelphia, within the pharmaceutical corridor of Pennsylvania and New Jersey, but we have served clients onsite in all 50 states and in 28 countries.
Domestically, our programs are held in all of the major metropolitan areas, as well as the smallest towns and rural areas, and by teleconferencing and webcasts, enabling our clients to reach the most diverse range of audiences and stakeholders possible.
Internationally, PEMC has led and supported a variety of programs around the globe. In facilitating programs internationally, we draw on our insights into geographic markets and business customs, our experience working on five continents and our team of multilingual trainers and moderators.
